Coimbatore: World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on April 2, every year. A press meet was organized by Deepa Malini, the founder of “AUTISM and BEYOND” at the Coimbatore Press Club.
Addressing the media, Deepa Malini said, “As per the survey conducted in 2018, one among every 59 child is affected by autism and 70 million children are affected by this disorder, worldwide. Continuous research is happening in this area. By training an autistic child from a young age, we can make them a part of society. We can increase their concentration power by "FLOOR TIME" practice. Self- thinking skills, sports skills and language skills can be improved by this training, which will help them to coordinate with others.

Most of the children are struggling due to the inability to think. In Canada, parents of autistic children, with the help of weekend training enhanced their relationship with their children. Our organization, by implementing the same, strives for the betterment of autistic children. One among every four boys is affected by autism compared to the girl children," opined Deepa Malini.
